Uses of Ash Wood Lattices

Our partners use these decorative lattices to create a range of interior and exterior products. Easy to work with and install, these lattices feature a distinct texture, have a presentable appearance, and integrate seamlessly into various design styles: from Country or Loft to Ethnic and Scandinavian Modern.

Framed Furniture Fronts

Wooden lattices are integrated into the doors of cabinets, dressers, and nightstands. This design choice gives furniture a sense of visual lightness and improves ventilation. This is especially relevant for areas where electronics or linens are stored.

Organizers and Boxes

The lattices are used to create practical containers for storing office supplies, accessories, cosmetics, and home textiles. The openings provide visual access to the contents, which is convenient and adds a stylish touch to the products.

Interior Partitions and Mobile Screens

Partitions and mobile screens made from wooden lattices are ideal for zoning spaces in studio apartments, offices, or showrooms. These lightweight structures separate areas without “eating up” space, allowing light to pass through and keeping the room feeling visually open.

Concealment and Decorative Screens for Radiators/Ventilation Openings

A radiator lattice is a practical solution for those who want to hide radiators without disrupting the circulation of warm air. A wooden screen looks significantly more aesthetic than its plastic counterparts. Wooden lattices are also used to make covers for ventilation duct openings. The products are easy to install, do not hinder air exchange, and give the interior a tidy appearance.

Interior Panels

Lattices are used to decorate walls and ceilings. The pattern adds texture, rhythm, and dimension, transforming even a simple surface into a stylish accent.

Photo Booth Backdrops

Lattices are convenient for creating photo backdrops for events or in showrooms. The structures are easily decorated with lighting, textiles, and signs, and they can be painted or varnished.

Gazebo Elements

Wooden lattices are sometimes used in building gazebos or terraces. Products must be treated with moisture-resistant agents before installation.

Plant Supports

After appropriate treatment, wooden lattices can be turned into supports for roses, grapes, clematis, and other climbing plants. The structures are suitable for creating flower arches or green fences.

Advantages of Decorative Ash Wood Lattices

  1. Natural Beauty of the Texture. A distinct texture combined with a rich palette of light-brown shades allows for the creation of unique design solutions.
  2. Versatility of Application. The products are used in the manufacturing of furniture, interior finishing, home decor, organizers and storage systems, souvenirs, promotional materials, and more.
  3. Eco-Friendliness. The lattices are made from wooden slats and certified wood glue. The material is safe for humans and animals and is approved for use in residential and public spaces.

Ash Wood: Key Characteristics

Ash wood is one of the most popular materials for furniture, flooring, and decorative elements. The species is known for its combination of strength, elasticity, and a distinct texture.

Regarding the technical characteristics of ash, its density in a dry state is 680–750 kg/m³. Its Janka hardness is approximately 5900 N, and its Brinell hardness is 4.0–4.1. Its high toughness makes ash resistant to impact loads and mechanical damage, ensuring the durability of products made from it.

The sapwood is light-yellow or cream-colored, while the heartwood color ranges from light-brown to olive-gray. The texture is somewhat coarse, with clearly defined annual rings and a contrasting grain pattern. The wood grain becomes more pronounced after staining.

Solid ash is easy to saw, sand, mill, and glue. The wood holds fasteners well and can be stained and varnished. When used for exterior applications, the species requires protective coatings against moisture. Ash is used to make furniture, stairs, sports equipment, doors, and decorative panels.

FAQ

What wood species are available for lattices?

Our stock program includes decorative wooden lattices made of oak, ash, and alder. We can also manufacture lattices from maple, walnut, hornbeam, cherry, beech, and other species (from 2,000 pcs).

Can I order a lattice with custom dimensions and shape?

We supply lattices in the standard size of 1200x620x5 mm (±0.5 mm) / 47.24″x24.4″x0.19″. We accept lattice manufacturing orders in other formats. Minimum order is 2,000 pcs.

What are the cell sizes in the lattices?

We offer wooden lattices with diamond and square-shaped cells. The cell sizes are as follows:

  • Diamond 60° ― 17×17 mm / 0.67″x0.67″
  • Square 45° ― 10×10 mm / 0.39″x0.39″; 15×15 mm / 0.59″x0.59″
  • Horizontal Square ― 12×12 mm / 0.47″x0.47″

Quality Control

From the moment an order is received, we provide full production oversight for every batch in accordance with the Client’s individual specifications.

Quality control is carried out in three stages:

Raw material selection and inspection. We assess the quality of the wood, its grade, grain structure, and compliance with technical requirements.

First production batch inspection. Once production begins, we inspect the first units to ensure proper process execution and consistent parameters.

Final inspection during packaging. Before shipment, we check moisture content, dimensions, surface finish quality, and overall compliance with the approved specification.

This approach ensures consistent quality for every batch and full transparency throughout the entire production process.

Packaging and Transportation

Truck and rail transport

Packaging. Products are palletized on kiln-dried lumber pallets to ensure stability, ventilation, and preservation of the geometry and quality of wood materials.

Protective wrapping. Materials are sealed off from the external environment. Pallets are wrapped in multi-layer moisture-resistant shrink film. The film is tightly secured around the cargo, creating an airtight barrier and additional cushioning during truck and rail transport.

Board sheathing. The top and sides of the cargo are additionally protected with MDF, fiberboard, or plywood sheets. This sheathing stabilizes the batch and prevents crushing, scratching, and warping during loading and unloading.

Strapping. Pallets are secured with strapping bands to prevent product shifting during transit.

Ocean freight (container shipping)

Reinforced packaging. In compliance with international standards, we use heat-protected and moisture-resistant packaging with reinforced fasteners for ocean container shipments.

In-container securing. Specialized fasteners, strapping, and dunnage bags are used to prevent cargo movement caused by vessel rolling.

Additional product protection. When necessary, desiccants, interleaving pads, and multi-layer films are applied.

ISPM 15–certified wooden packaging materials that meet international trade requirements.
