Applications for Oak Wood Lattices

Our partners use oak lattices to create a range of interior and exterior products. Easy to work with and install, these lattices feature a distinct texture, have a presentable appearance, and integrate seamlessly into various design styles, from country or loft to ethnic and Scandinavian modern.

Framed Furniture Fronts

Wood lattices are integrated into the doors of cabinets, dressers, and nightstands. This design adds visual lightness to furniture and improves ventilation. This is especially relevant for areas where electronics or linens are stored.

Organizers and Bins

The lattices can be used to create practical containers for storing office supplies, accessories, cosmetics, and home textiles. The openings provide visual access to the contents, which is convenient and adds a stylish touch to the products.

Interior Partitions and Mobile Screens

Partitions and mobile screens made from wood lattices are ideal for zoning spaces in studio apartments, offices, or showrooms. These lightweight structures separate areas without ‘eating up’ space, allowing light to pass through and keeping the room visually open.

Concealing and Decorative Screens for Radiators/Ventilation Openings

A radiator lattice cover is a practical solution for those who want to conceal heaters without disrupting the circulation of warm air. A wood screen looks much more aesthetic than its plastic counterparts. Wood lattices are also used to make covers for ventilation duct openings. The products are easy to install, do not obstruct airflow, and give the interior a tidy appearance.

Interior Panels

Lattices are used to decorate walls and ceilings. The pattern adds texture, rhythm, and dimension, transforming even a simple surface into a stylish accent.

Photo Zone Decor

Lattices are convenient for creating photo zones at events or in showrooms. The structures can be easily decorated with lighting, textiles, and signs, and they can be painted or varnished.

Elements for Gazebos

Wood lattices are sometimes used in building gazebos or terraces. Products must be treated with moisture-resistant agents before installation.

Plant Supports

After proper treatment, wood lattices can be turned into supports for roses, grapes, clematis, and other climbing plants. The structures are suitable for creating flower arches or green fences.

Advantages of Decorative Oak Lattices

  1. Natural Beauty of the Texture. The distinct oak texture, combined with a rich palette of light brown hues, allows for unique design solutions.
  2. Versatility of Application. The products are used in the manufacturing of furniture, interior trim, home decor, organizers and storage systems, souvenirs, promotional products, and more.
  3. Eco-Friendliness. The lattices are made from wood slats and certified wood glue. The material is safe for humans and animals and is approved for use in residential and public spaces.

Oak Wood: A Brief Overview of its Characteristics

Oak is one of the strongest and most popular wood species for manufacturing furniture, doors, flooring, and decorative elements. The wood is valued for its high hardness, beautiful texture, and durability.

The technical characteristics of oak are as follows. Its density when dry is 650–750 kg/m³. Hardness on the Janka scale is ≈5900 N, and on the Brinell scale, it is 3.4 – 3.7. This tough wood is resistant to impact loads.

The color of solid oak varies from light yellow and golden to a rich brown. The heartwood is usually darker, while the sapwood is lighter. The texture of oak is somewhat coarse, with distinct annual rings and characteristic medullary rays. The wood grain pattern depends on the cut. A tangential cut produces wavy, ‘flame-like’ patterns, while a radial cut reveals light ‘streaks/stripes’ along its length.

Solid oak is easy to saw, mill, sand, and glue. It can be easily tinted, stained, and polished, all while preserving the natural beauty of its fibers. For exterior use, oak requires a protective coating of oil or varnish.

FAQ

What wood species are available for the lattices?

Our in-stock selection includes decorative wood lattices made of oak, ash, and alder. Custom manufacturing is available for lattices made from maple, walnut, hornbeam, cherry, beech, and other species (from 2,000 pcs).

Can I order a lattice in custom sizes and shapes?

We supply lattices in the standard size of 1200x620x5 mm (±0.5 mm) / 47.24″x24.4″x0.19″. We accept orders for lattices in other formats. The minimum quantity is 2,000 pieces.

What are the cell sizes of the lattices?

We offer wood lattices with diamond- and square-shaped cells. The cell sizes are as follows:

  • 60° Diamond ― 17×17 mm / 0.67″x0.67″
  • 45° Square ― 10×10 mm / 0.39″x0.39″; 15×15 mm / 0.59″x0.59″
  • Horizontal Square ― 12×12 mm / 0.47″x0.47″

Can the lattices withstand heavy loads?

The lattices in our selection are decorative products and are not designed for significant structural loads.

Are the wood lattices suitable for exterior use?

Yes, the wood lattices can be used for exterior projects.

Can I order a small batch with samples?

We can add a mixed pallet of the lattice types you need to your order.

What is the minimum order?

The minimum order quantity is one pallet.

How quickly can I receive my order?

Delivery times are affected by order volume and destination.

How are the lattices packaged for transportation?

The wood lattices are hermetically sealed in film.

Quality Control

From the moment an order is received, we provide full production oversight for every batch in accordance with the Client’s individual specifications.

Quality control is carried out in three stages:

Raw material selection and inspection. We assess the quality of the wood, its grade, grain structure, and compliance with technical requirements.

First production batch inspection. Once production begins, we inspect the first units to ensure proper process execution and consistent parameters.

Final inspection during packaging. Before shipment, we check moisture content, dimensions, surface finish quality, and overall compliance with the approved specification.

This approach ensures consistent quality for every batch and full transparency throughout the entire production process.

Packaging and Transportation

Truck and rail transport

Packaging. Products are palletized on kiln-dried lumber pallets to ensure stability, ventilation, and preservation of the geometry and quality of wood materials.

Protective wrapping. Materials are sealed off from the external environment. Pallets are wrapped in multi-layer moisture-resistant shrink film. The film is tightly secured around the cargo, creating an airtight barrier and additional cushioning during truck and rail transport.

Board sheathing. The top and sides of the cargo are additionally protected with MDF, fiberboard, or plywood sheets. This sheathing stabilizes the batch and prevents crushing, scratching, and warping during loading and unloading.

Strapping. Pallets are secured with strapping bands to prevent product shifting during transit.

Ocean freight (container shipping)

Reinforced packaging. In compliance with international standards, we use heat-protected and moisture-resistant packaging with reinforced fasteners for ocean container shipments.

In-container securing. Specialized fasteners, strapping, and dunnage bags are used to prevent cargo movement caused by vessel rolling.

Additional product protection. When necessary, desiccants, interleaving pads, and multi-layer films are applied.

ISPM 15–certified wooden packaging materials that meet international trade requirements.
